Reining
A prestigious Western riding discipline that combines dressage and precision, the pattern (course) of which is performed exclusively at a gallop with compulsory figures in a specific order. Each figure is evaluated separately.
There are 18 patterns defined and approved by the NRHA. Each always includes: fast and slow canter circles, lead changes, sliding stops, rollbacks, spins, and a back-up.
